Welcome to SouthSideHealth.org
Every healthcare and social service professional recognizes the need for their clients and patients to have access
to vital services in their community
that their agency does not provide. To help their clients and patients,
these agencies produce lists of resources, but the
information is generally out of date and of poor quality.
This website seeks to improve the quality of information given to refer your patients and clients to community agenices. Better information makes for better referrals. Better referrals means your clients and patients have access to essential services in their community that can improve their health and wellbeing.
This site seeks to improve the quality of this information (called information for referral, or i4r) by creating a mashup of social computing tools like user reviews, wiki, google maps and baskets. Look for the apples throughout this site - they are indicators of the quality of the information regarding every service in your community.
Who should use this site? Anyone interested in improving the quality of information about community healthcare and social services. This includes doctors, social workers, case managers, student volunteers, churches, clinic referral coordinators, librarians, community organizers and block club leaders.
